RFI 2020 Telco TV Symposium, BMMA Annual Meeting, & Broadband Seminar Cancellation

Description:

Hello Event Attendees,

Based on the most recent news about the COVID-19 pandemic and our desire to minimize any additional risk to you, your peers and your families’ health, we are regretfully cancelling our ResearchFirst Broadband Services 2020 Seminar (BB20) and Telco TV 2020 Symposium (TV20) previously scheduled for March 23 – 27, 2020. We are also replacing our face-to-face BMMA Annual Meeting with a Video Webinar on May 5, 2020 to cover the essential elements of the Annual Meeting.

Thank you so much for all of your work preparing for these events and for many of you offering to make presentations or participate on a panel discussion, etc. We truly appreciate all that you have done to make these events so useful to all. Please know that we will make every effort to recognize you and use your work in future events like our Monthly Hot Topic Webinars, our BMMA Fall Workshop or our 2021 events.

As we have previously indicated, we have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation and have explored various options, including taking extra precautions at the events (encouraging social distancing, increased surfaces sanitizing, hand-washing and other preventative measures); having some presentations made via video conference; moving the events to a different date; etc. However, with the unknown nature of this pandemic and how long it will last and the interactive nature of our events, as well as travel restrictions that many of your companies have or will likely put into place, we have determined that the only viable course is to cancel the events for this year.

We realize that this pandemic, your company travel restrictions and these resultant cancellations are outside of your or our control and therefore will ensure that your registration fees are credited or refunded, as you choose. We encourage you to apply your TV20 and/or BB20 payments towards our 2021 Telco TV and/or Broadband Seminar events planned for the March/April 2021 timeframe. Should you not be able to attend given the new dates, refunds will be made whenever you request it.

By applying your payments towards our 2021 events, you may improve your chances for trip approval and soften the financial impact of venue cancellation charges, of which we are uncertain at this time. This will also guarantee you will not be impacted by any price increase for the 2021 events.

Thank you very much for your support and we do hope you, your peers and your family will stay safe and healthy.
